CESSATED
"Cessabit" is the winning work of the second edition of the Recercat Graphic Work Award (2018), convened by the Ramon Muntaner Institute (IRMU) and the Fundació Privada Mutua Catalana. This work will be presented as an award starting in 2019 and for five consecutive editions in the category of Person in the Most Wanted Awards. The Recercat Awards, also co-organized by the IRMU, are given as part of the Local Culture and Research Day, Recercat. The Local Culture and Research Conference (Recercat) is an annual meeting organized by the IRMU in the context of the city that holds the title of Capital of Catalan Culture. El Recercat aims to be a meeting point for debate and exchange of ideas and projects between the institutes and study centers of all the Catalan-speaking territories, as well as a showcase to show society in general all the work, research and activities carried out by these entities throughout the year, One of the main events of this day are its awards that seek to distinguish the trajectory of an entity and a person in the world of institutes and centers of studies
"Cessabit" aims to evoke the inner peace often so elusive in this world of such frenetic activity. This is a four-plate, five-color linocut inspired by Japanese culture that seeks to convey this calmness to the viewer.
