BLOCK PRINTING
Block printing is a printing technique in which the image is obtained by extracting material from the plate or matrix with various tools; so that the part that remains in the upper plane is the one that will configure the printed drawing. Therefore, when inking, the part in which the ink will stick will be the embossed shape and instead the empty parts will be blank.
There are several variants, however, the oldest engraving technique is the woodcut. The matrix used in the woodcut it is a wooden surface, usually hard as it can be boxwood or cherry. Later, other materials appeared to be used as a matrix such as linoleum or the rubber
