“Sea or mountain” is an engraving made using the sugar technique using a 12.5 x 8.5 cm plate printed on 21x30 cm paper.
The sugar technique consists of applying a mixture of sugar, water and black Chinese ink with a brush on the previously resined plate. Later this is varnished and once dry it is immersed in hot water to remove the sugar mixture. Once this is done, it is ready for immersion in the mordant.
